Cablevision Sold To A European Telecommunications and Cable Company

European telecommunications and cable company Altice has agreed to buy New York cable operator Cablevision for $17.7 billion, including debt.

Not being well versed in French cable and internet, I have no idea what this means. Cool I guess

What does this mean for Cablevision? This is my internet, and cable provider. I just got used to their changing of channel numbers, I hope they're not going to be making major changes now.

it just means if u had dolan's money, you'd burn yours.

Basically means Dolan is selling off Cablevision. He's still retaining the Garden and Radio City, but stands to make even boatloads more cash once this mega deal is approved and goes through. Billing and content might change down the road but for now as far as programming I doubt you will see any changes whatsoever, at least for the for seeable future
