    Rangers Announce Traverse City Roster

I'm excited for us to get looks at Graves, Gropp, Tambellini and Halverson.

I nearly spoootted my Gin and Tonic when I saw

    Artem Artemov*
and then I cogitated on the spelling and the boner deflated.

But seriously, I guess I'm curious about whether Calle Anderson and Brady Skjei are making progress. Ryan Gropp of course,

And Halverson can keep the scorers honest.

I confess, I have no idea who Jacon Smith is, and a few of the others s for that matter —*DiFruscia, Adam Brooks, Ottenbreit, Jerret Smith, Bratina, Askew, at least some of them have names that sound like hockey names...you know, like they begin with Cameron, or Jayden.

Europeans often have a tradition of name cycles, so with "ov" meaning "of" Artem, it's likely he happened to land on that name.

I've done my part. Now back to rookies.

Anyone else look at this roster and go ... "MEH"?

    um, yes.

So I looked at it again, and tried to convince myself otherwise. And I said, "well it's not totally 'meh.'"
But I'm not sure I really believed myself.

Doesn't mean to say some good can't come of it, though.
Hopefully Skjei does well, Calle, maybe, and one never knows, someone (else) may just break out.

The Rangers have gone in with teams full of top guys before and lost bad. Doesn't mean much, just look for individuals

That's just the thing. There really aren't any individuals to watch either, as opposed to years prior. Yeah I know there's a few, but normally we have a solid 5 or 6 worth keeping an eye on.

College players are ineligible unless they pay their own way and risk injury.

If the Rangers paid his way, it's an ncaa violation.

Pretty smart move by bureaucrats to deny a guy who is a hockey player by trade the chance to play hockey.
