I would assume they want to get a good long look at Georgiev, and get him as much game time on a NA rink as possible.

Agreed. Getting an early look at Bereglazov and Pionk will be great, too. A strong TCC showing would give them a ton of confidence heading into Training Camp.

The Rangers are one of four teams that comprise the Gordie Howe Division, along with the Carolina Hurricanes, Chicago Blackhawks, and Detroit Red Wings. The Blueshirts begin the tournament with a contest against Chicago on Friday, September 8 at 7:00 p.m. New York will face Carolina on Saturday, September 9 at 3:30 p.m. and Detroit on Monday, September 11 at 7:00 p.m. Following their three round-robin games, the Rangers will have a placement game against a team from the Ted Lindsay Division on Tuesday, September 12.

@NYP_Brooksie: NYR first-rounder Chytil flew to NY yesterday after suffering leg injury in Four Nations tourney. No update as yet but very unlikely for TC

This year is exciting, but I think too many people are sleeping on sergey zborovskiy.

Young, large, passionate defenseman with a solid shot. He almost doubled his point output last year.

How's his footwork/skating? At 6'4", will he be pylon for speedy forwards?

He's admittedly pretty slow. He's 6'4, it should come with the territory. With that said, there could be room for improvement and even Boyle became somewhat agile as he grew into his frame.

Do you know if these games are streamed anywhere? The Carolina game seems to be in a Euro-friendly time slot

The Rangers announced the games would be streamed, yes. Most likely on their site.

Rangers twitter said they would be streaming the games. I don't believe the info has been posted. I'll post a link when available.

He's like McIlrath in that he's not quick. To be an effective NHLer, his positioning will need to be perfect.
