Mc D played the right side his first two years IIRC. Looked better there imo.

I did tell you the player. Klein, Yandle or Staal. THREE guys that can slot up.
The only time McDonagh ever played the right side was at the Olympics with Suter.

We've also seen Klein slot up and he isn't so hot at it. He's a 4-6.

i like Girardi to Edmonton. I would try to get Fayne
I dont see that as true at all. This years draft day shows that. 3-4 of the teams in hardcore rebuild mode traded picks for vets. Edmonton traded picks for a relatively unknown in Talbot.... Why wouldn't they or any other rebuilding team that traded picks do the same for Girardi?

That' what i mean, it's not happening. Our defense would be a mess

Most rebuilding teams are looking to contend. Calgary, Edmonton, Buffalo. Their rebuilds are close to being done (except Buffalo ) and they added some players around their cores. Next in line is Toronto, Vancouver, Arizona, etc.

I didn't say they wouldn't but he has a big contract so it might be tough

Most of the teams you listed have cap space to take him straight up. Really not an issue.

Sure it is. He might not want to go to those places

Yes including the overpriced Girardi, who is redundant on this team. Is Nash redundant? Or is there another 30+ goal scorer on the roster? Lundqvist let in some stinkers. Glad we have another guy like that on the roster..

My opinion is that the Rangers shouldn't be paying Girardi 5 mill to be a clone of two other guys already on the team (Staal, Klein). They need a different style player in his spot or down a slot.

As your top 4 LD pairings is pretty good

None of those guys you mention are right handed. AV likes his right-left pairings, it's not happening. I wish he would play defenders on their offside but he doesn't
They CANT just trade Staal or Girardi without them waiving their NTC. Not this year. I dont see either of them doing that, nor do i see management risking asking them to.

Klein is right handed. AV has played plenty of Dmen on their off side. McD included.

Half of the teams in the league can take his salary on straight up. Several more have a few million in cap space available that if they moved salary they'd fit him. I think he'd find a team or two out of at least twenty that would suffice.

Also remember that the Rangers recently acquired two players on NMCs demanding to go nowhere but here despite having incredibly tight cap situations. NMCs don't really prevent moves.

I believe he played the right side his rookie year. Maybe even part of his 2nd. Definitely on the PP.

What games did McD play as a righty? When did Yandle play right handed? Klein left handed?

Also only Moore and Hunwick really played the right side despite being left handed. It's really something that will be avoided if possible.

    Klein is right handed.

Do I seriously have to list games McD lined up on the right side? Its happened. I dont know how to prove that.

As for Yandle playing the right side. I honestly dont know. I figured hes such a good skater, he could handle it if they didn't want to slide McD over.

I don't recall Klein playing higher than the 2nd pair as a Ranger.

Delzotto, and i think Falk also played the off side. As did McD (shit, was AV the coach though... oops).
