Yeah, he's really small. Has the "look", if they wanted the more stoic and good looking Cable, but if they're going for the Leifeld look, they need a monster.

He's actually not. He bulked up big for the Bane role, but he's actually just 5'9. Cable is supposed to be 6'8, 350lbs according to Marvel.

Björnsson in real life is 6'9, 420lbs. Kim Kold is 6'4, 305lbs.

Yeah, the marketing for all of this has been brilliant. I'm really hoping it translates to sales so the movie isn't considered a box office flop.

The Rated-R might hurt them for the younger viewers, but Deadpool needed that rating. Or it wouldn't have been done the right way.

They were never aiming for the younger audience. They knew making this movie that they were aiming for the 18-30 audience, and the R rating is much more enticing for them, especially those that know Deadpool or even just kind of know about him.

That's not exactly true. They aimed for PG-13 but creative pushed for an R. Was the only way to secure Reynolds. Not sure how public that was but yeah, they were being steered towards a more family-friendly version initially.

If you wanna get technical. lol But that's what I meant. He can, but shouldn't. It wouldn't be the same.

Haha, I know. But, look at Wolverine. People used to say the same thing but it has worked out pretty well for Fox.

That's true. I just can't see Deadpool with any lower rating than R. lol

I don't really know how well Wolverine movies do in the theaters, but they're awful.

Including all the X-Men films? Pretty well.

X-Men 3 and X-Men Origins: Wolverine were both critical flops, but did well financially.

The Wolverine did pretty well with critics and was overall well received, save for a lackluster ending.

Not the X Men. They were good.

    Origins was garbage.

The Wolverine I thought had a good story with bad acting from the girl who's only line was to yell "LOGAN!" in every scene.

Right, so then only the one movie is awful. Which I'm not sure anyone debates.

With that said, I'm not sure it's the character people have an issue with, it's the writing. Having an R rating probably wouldn't change that, maybe it would distract, but they'd never have gone as wide.

Well you can't really count ALL the X-Men along with that. At least, I won't. I wouldn't expect an X-Men movie to be R rated.

Wolverine, yes I agree could be either violent enough or have enough F bombs, but neither of those was saving Origins. The Wolverine, maybe so.

So, generally agree with most of what you're saying.

Was just commenting on the quality of the movie and saying R rating wouldn't have helped.

Oh, and X Men Last Stand was also bad.
