I'd like to see big things out of Haggerty, St. Croix, Nicholls, and Noreau considering they are on the older side of this tournament.

The only guy missing who I really was hoping would go through this was Buchnevich, who apparently is headed back to the KHL.

I feel like this is one of the weaker teams we've sent in recent years. At least the goaltending is better than when we had Stajcer and Missiaen as the goalies for the tournament.

I feel like we could see a top 6 of:

    Duclair - Tambellini - Haggerty
Latta - St. Croix - Nicholls

I think Haggerty is the most interesting one there, as well as Halverson.

I was wondering if he'd be added. Probably will end up centering the top line.

Televised on MSG two seasons ago. Won't be this year.

the NHL could do such a better job of promoting these types of things. Even a live feed off a site would be a step in the right direction.

The issue is it costs a ton of money to do that, and they don't generate any revenue to offset. No one is going to by ad-time for it.

Rangers used to do a live feed online and I think Buffalo does radio. It could be possible for Rangers to do a live feed but it doesn't seem likely

I bet they could do it so cheaply.
We do it with High School hockey games, (on line feed)...and turns out great.

I bet you could get some broadcast journalists new out of college to do it for free.

I'm no marketing expert by any means, but even if they lost some money televising the games isn't it part of the whole hockey package and wouldn't it to help generate interest and ratings for the upcoming season?

Probably not much. How many people are really going to tune in and watch a bunch of prospects in a rather meaningless tournament? Not that it could be any worse than whatever kind of crappy programming MSG is currently airing, but they probably don't see it being worth it. I mean I would certainly watch and I'm sure many of us would, but you're not really going to get interest from any casual fans especially with the minimum advertising that would go into it.
