'Turn' on AMC

Anyone catch the premier of this show on Sunday?

 

I really enjoyed it.

 

For those unfamiliar with it, it's the show taking The Walking Dead's time slot. It's about an American Spy during the American Revolution.

 

Really interesting show, very well done on the first episode, in my opinion at least.

I "taped" it. Only watched the first few minutes but I'm interested.

DVR'd it but worried the story would move slow. How was the pace of the show? thanks

It was slightly slow, but I'd chalk it up to just being the first episode and they are setting up characters and story lines. overall its an interesting concept with some interesting characters and some cool, tense scenes

still recommending this show.

 

I keep telling people its good and nobody I know has started watching it lol

Didn't finish Sunday's episode (stopped when the lady assumed her husband was cheating). First 2 were pretty good, but I still feel like its lacking that pop to have staying power.

 

And could they find an uglier kid?

I feel like there's enough going on with different characters and there are a ton of different directions the show could wind up going in. I'm really excited to see what happens.

 

Not too much action, but also very tense.

Its also nice that AMC isn't shoving it down our throats like Low Winter Sun. I don't think Turn will ever be at the level that TWD, Breaking Bad and Mad Men are at, but it will probably play out well, think Hell on Wheels.

Might be a better show to binge a full season when it's on netflix though

I'm still a bit lost. I still find myself rewinding and rewatching parts. I cant identify with any characters. I still think it lacks that intriguing 'pop' to keep me interested
