    You know what's funny, I'm the same way with keeping things neat in the entire house though, not just the bedroom. Thought I was the only one like that.

    I think a lot of people are like that. I usually keep most of my house clean as well. Just feels more comfortable knowing everything is straightened away.

    Are you a light sleeper or a heavy sleeper? Your problem is the idea of falling asleep in the first place, right? I know that's mine. I could literally go 2 days + without ever getting tired if i didnt have my prescription.

Also, the reason behind it being something i've already seen is that its not a surprise that would peak your interest and wake u up. A lot of times i'll watch the cup run from 94 on dvd. It's a nostalgic moment and something that keeps my mind off of the idea of sleeping.

    Another thing i don't recommend is sitting on the pc and getting up waiting to feel tired. I personally find that would just wake me up moreso than help me feel tired. I try getting to the bed and start my routine around 30 minutes or so before i actually sleep. I also dont keep clocks really visible as well, keep my bedroom fairly clean and neat since i feel more comfortable if things aren't in total disarray, and make sure my phone is on silent so i won't get an email or text that wakes me up.

    If you are going to do the OTC sleeping remedies such as NyQuil, you should just take Unisom. You can get the generic one from Target for a lot cheaper than paying for Unisom itself. Look for the one that has diphenhydramine 50 mg and not 25mg since the 50 will work better.
    ding ding ding. I don't have insomnia. But even in the winter, I sleep 10x as good with a fan on me. Combination of the noise and the light breeze.
