Charlie Collier, AMC?s president and general manager, added: ?Building on the success of the most popular show on television for adults 18-49 is literally a no-brainer. We look forward to working with Robert, Gale and Dave again as we develop an entirely new story and cast of characters. It?s a big world and we can?t wait to give fans another unforgettable view of the zombie apocalypse.? No word yet on if the series will feature any characters and events from the comic book or introduce completely new story lines, as Kirkman?s quote seems to suggest. I never got into it, but one day, bored and alone with nothing to do, I watched the entire first season. Than the next day, bored and alone, i watched the entire second season. Phil Posted September 16, 2013 Author Share Posted September 16, 2013 Spin-off? Of what? No indication of that yet. My bet is something in the vein of the same world, but another group. Something not anchored by or tied to the original comic book story lines. Perhaps the Dixons survival (they aren't characters in the books) from the onset?
