Yeah, and knocking Puck Head's knowledge that aggressively is equally as ignorant. Guy coaches in Alaska, and pumps kids into every fuckin NA league there is ... including some NHL draftees.

Well not in the "Q" or OHL, (our players rights head to WHL).
Obviously the "Q" is an amazing league. But in comparison to the WHL, OHL, and even the USHL now, it just hasn't produced the numbers, (historically or even recently). Periodic amazing top end talent, (Crosby, McKinnon), but generally considered the little sister of the CHL.
Take for instance last years draft (1st round).
OHL- 9 players
WHL- 8 players
USHL- 5 players
QMJHL- 1 player
Over all in 2014 draft
OHL- 41 players
WHL- 37 players
USHL- 35 players
QMJHL- 17 players
Just built a spread sheet going back last 6 drafts, and each year pretty much shows the same thing.
NHL scouts and GM's also agree, outside of a generation top talent, the Q just doesn't produce like the other leagues, (including the USHL).

And Duclair hasn't even been to our farm system. lol. Miller was a first round pick, so everyone has high expectations. Duclair slipped to the 3rd round for other issues, I don't remember anyone denying his talent, or ability. Fast was what? a 4th or 5th rounder? No one has high expectations for players that go that deep, and if anyone is touting those guys to become something, they're just guessing because even the organization doesn't know.

Yeah, he has a good shot, but his offense likely won't translate well to the NHL because he doesn't have the natural instincts. He will be a solid player because he is good defensively and can skate. A good comparison would be Kevin Klein, but bigger as his ceiling.
I thought his skating was bad?

People need to do research before making statements. The number of 90 to 100 point scorers was far greater in the OHL and WHL than it was in the Quebec league last year. People tend to live in the past when making statements.
LOL. Come on man, I know kids that went straight to tbe Q from mid-west Ontario Junior B that would never have even got a try out in the OHL.
It's not how many 100 point scorers you have that makes a league what it is, go read all the stuff Puckhead posted. Look at the Team Canada roster for WJC. There isn't a single QMJHL player on it outside of the worst goalie in the tournament and their far and away worst player Gauthier choosen to avoid a lot of embarassment for the Q.
The QMJHL sucks relative to tbe WHL and OHL.

I'm sure you don't mean it, but you're coming across as being arrogant when there are a handful of people here who actually have a lot of knowledge on the subject, have a finger on the pulse of these leagues, personally know current and former players from all 3 leagues, or all of the above. In the link I posted above, Hockey Prospects gives a well thought out summary on every drafted player in the league. They're not going to be right about everyone, and nothing is set in stone, but it gives you an idea of what direction the players are headed. No one is saying Graves won't amount to anything. We're obviously all hoping he turns into exactly what you predict. However, some believe it's way to early to make these bold predictions. That doesn't mean anyone is saying you're wrong. Just trying to shine a different light on it.

The Duke of Hartford!
Memorial Cup all star team.
Merkley - McCarron - Dal Colle
Graves - Bowey
Appleby
Good to know. He's signed and eligible for the AHL next season. Next logical assumption is he starts next year in Hartford?
Won hardest shot competition at AHL All Star skills event with 103.4 mph.
He's got a bomb. Third hardest shot in competition history.

Kid is doing great for a 20 year in the AHL... he has 15 points in 45 games and a +2. He kind of reminds me of Staal, but with a better shot
I would rather say , That he reminds me more like Sauer than Staal
