This will be the first Stanley Cup Playoffs meeting between these franchises. However, the Oilers went 6-0 in playoff series against the original Jets – with the last one played more than 30 years ago. [/td]

Fucking right, Jets take both games in Edmonton to go up 2-0. Good wake up call for the cocky Oilers who were thinking they'd steam roll the Jets after dominating them in the regular season. It's a whole other ballgame in the playoffs. Must-win game for Edmonton on Sunday. The Jets have done an incredible job of completely neutralizing McDavid and Draisatl which is a hell of a feat. I guess that's what happens in the playoffs when you've basically built your team around 2 players.

How will the story read in Edmonton if they lose this series? And maybe even get swept?

They've got major issues. Everyone knows their depth is atrocious, but McDavid and Draisaitl are so dominant that it almost doesn't matter. We're now seeing what it's like when they aren't able to contribute though.

Would they trade Draisaitl to fix it? The Rangers could make a serious offer.

The Oilers had the Jets completely on the ropes at 4-1 with 6 minutes left and now it's a tied game. What an incredible comeback. The Oilers have to be completely rattled now. Let's see if they have any mental strength to pull out a win here tonight. I would love to see this one go to OT.

Very sketchy. And Smith looks like he can't stop a beach ball right now. Gotta put your money on the Jets riding this momentum and winning in OT. The Oilers look so damn frazzled right now. But that's the beauty of OT, one shot is all that it takes. And you can never discount the best player in the world.

I guess one could see this coming. Questionable goaltending. Shoddy defense at best. And their offense is a two-trick pony that padded their stats heavily in a weak division and where the regular season is filled with tons of PPs, which is a strength of theirs. But come playoffs, tighter checking and not as many PPs, the Oilers weaknesses are completely exposed.

Oilers fans might be on suicide watch tonight after that complete meltdown...
