Well, they took a risk drafting him but not much of one. It didn't work out. I feel sorry for the kid.

 

Understatement of the century; there's like...three players (Max Lajoie, Jesper Bratt, Victor Mete) who might make you blink on the pick.

Meh.This is not really a surprise.

 

Really struggled in Junior prior to his draft year. Only spent a 3rd rounder on him, which is basically a flyer.

Did better in Junior post-draft, but that happens often and is not impressive.

In his 2 years as a pro, he’s yo-yo’d from AHL to ECHL. He’s never been much better than OK in the A and he really doesn’t have an NHL future, but he can certainly stay in pro hockey and make a decent living as a minor leaguer and maybe he’ll get a shot somewhere.

 

He’s still only 22, so you never know. But they’ve given him plenty of a look and he has never looked like the guy who got exceptional status entering Junior.
