  1. If Detroit chokes tonight and Pens win....Pens, Caps and Flyers are still alive. Caps and Flyers play last game of season. Pens vs. Isles.
  2. Atleast they are winning.... Hockey so unpredictable any given night. Bruins, Red Wings and Preds all losing games you'd think they'd be up in after 1 period. I'll take a lead.
  3. They lose Saturday then they likely lose the division. Let’s see if they give a fuck.
  4. Really unacceptable. I’m trying not to be too pessimistic but man….. I guess all teams hit speed bumps (look at the top teams in the Atlantic in their last 10) but I really question this teams ability to battle in the playoffs. It’s a different animal. Hope the Rangers have another gear that they are saving for next week.
  5. Must be a mental thing for me personally. 10 or so years ago when this team made the playoffs (at any seed) I was filled with optimism. Not much these days. (Again, this likely goes deeper than just being a sports fan).
  6. Starting with division winner: Rangers should have it in the bag with 5 games left up 5 points (plus tiebreaker). Canes do have 4 easily winnable games left of their 5, while the Rangers have 3 in-division games and then MTL and Ottawa. Say Canes get 8 points. Rangers would need 3 or 4. Lets say 2 wins in their last 5. Thereafter, I see absolutely no easy first round matchups for anyone in the East. Even teams like Detroit if they sneak in would be a tough play (as we saw the other night). Then you got potential Division rivals: PIT, PHL or Isles round 1? Ooof. We saw what happened last playoffs vs. a bitter rival. Maybe I’m not giving the Rangers enough credit but I’m worried.
  7. This is not the recipe to win a Cup. You’d think they’d have learned from the Lundqvist Era. Oh well, gotta ride it I guess.
  8. Definitely shocked by the comeback. Don’t know what else today say…
  9. This team is in trouble come playoff time. Even vs a wild card team like Tampa, Detroit, NJ, Philly. They’ll be ready to jump on this team. I refuse to believe I’m overreacting.
  10. This is the Isles Stanley cup (since they aren’t making the playoffs) They always seem to play the Rangers with urgency Rangers haven’t lost an outdoor game yet. I’ll be throwing some money on the Isles to win today as a result. win-win in the end for me.
  11. 3-1 Isles. Igor trashes MetLife locker room after lack of goal support and defensive blunders.
  12. Hawks have scored 19 goals in 2024. That’s 16 games and includes 5 shutouts. Hawks 6-2, Blackwell hat trick.
