  1. Agreed there, just saying when he has criticized the Rangers, he's not always wrong. lol He and McDonagh together on games is absolutely awful.
  2. Yeah, one problem I have is, yeah, they have good players, but they're just too streaky. Panarin was guilty of that, but he's been locked in. Will it carry into the playoffs where teams will be even more hyper focused on him? We don't know. Will Mika stay hot? We don't know? Will we get good Kreider or bad Kreider. There's too much past inconsistencies with our top guys.
  3. That is true. I think a lot of times Rangers fans kind of live in this bubble where any possible slander, justified or not, is taken a bit too far. Like, even if Ray Ferraro is critical of the Rangers, he's usually not wrong. It's possible he doesn't like them personally, but I can't say I've really disagreed with his criticism. It's like the only people that are allowed to criticize them is us. lol
  4. Yeah, that part I don't get, considering the Rangers have pretty much owned Carolina for a good 18 years or so. lol
  5. Definitely ant-Rangers bias in that regard. I can agree on that. But again, their opinions really don't matter if you're even remotely paying attention, which most people are.
  6. Indeed. When it comes to goals and assists, people won't ask 'how?', it'll always be 'how many?'
  7. Definitely can be beaten, I just didn't like how the Rangers looked against them overall this season. Of course, playoffs are a different animal. If the Rangers bring it, they can certainly beat them. I do agree with Ozzy that Tampa Bay can cause a real problem as well. They still have the talent and that winning pedigree.
  8. Sometimes I think with analytics it's paralysis by analysis. Yeah, they can paint a real picture regarding a team in certain situations, but the playoffs is just a different animal entirely. It's more of a crapshoot than most sports postseasons. Plus, in general, a lot of people don't like the Rangers anyway. lol I've often said the only people who really like the Rangers are Rangers fans.
  9. lol Yeah, I saw him last season, the camera panned to him when he was attending a game. It was probably one his kids were playing in or something. But yeah, I guess we know what he's been doing in retirement.
  10. Given how good the conference (and league in general) is, the President's Trophy and best record would be a great team accomplishment. I'm not a believer in the trophy curse or anything. I'll gladly take the honor.
  11. I don't take anything Biz says seriously at all. I always think he's kind of just playing this character on TV for views and to get people hot and talking, like you're doing. lol Does he hate the Rangers? Meh, maybe, but overall what I just said are the main reasons for his podcast and takes. Even if they liked the Rangers, I'm just not a fan of that podcast anyway. I feel like it's just a lot of hot air, again, just to get people talking. Their interviews are really the only thing really worth listening to.
  12. I think they can beat anybody also, but I think Florida is probably the worst matchup for them in the East. I know anything but a deep playoff run is a failure, but the league, the conference, is so wide open anything from any team wouldn't surprise me at this point.
  13. Still good, but not as good as prior Mika Marchs. But, yeah, hopefully he keeps going. We've seen him go through long stretches of being bad, but long ones of being good, both in the playoffs and regular season. Remember their run two years ago where he started terribly and then was the big reason they were able to beat Pittsburgh. With him, you kind of hope the stars align at the right time and he's really good when you need him to be.
  14. Agree about Pasta, but MacKinnon and Matthews are definitely ahead of Panarin in the MVP race, especially Nate, so it's not really a bad take. I think it's basically MacKinnon's to lose at this point.
  15. Lafreniere now has 69 goals and 69 assists in his career. Those are some very nice totals.
