  1. Spot on. I think this team is more well-rounded than a lot of those GG teams but even if I wanted to entertain the thought that the team two years ago that went to the Eastern conference final was better... Imagine what they would have done with a real coach instead of what they had. Even last year's team, imagine having a real coach make a real adjustment instead of just rotating through right wings... It was wasted.
  2. Of course he is, with all the court appearances and such.
  3. And Trocheck is a stronger 2C than Strome. Lafreniere is better. Schneider is better. Igor is back (.930 since February) They aren't playing Justin Braun. The fourth line isn't just a collection of players, they all have a role and they perform it well. The coaching is better.
  4. If the only flaws where that it wasn't accurate military protocol, I think I can suspend enough disbelief haha.
  5. Was joking in a group chat that Yotes will go to SLC and in 5 years when Winnipeg stinks and people stop going, they'll move that team to Phoenix.
  6. Why? EDIT: just looked, he's old and sick. Makes sense.
  7. I'm halfway through the Gyllenhaal version. It's fun, in a very different way from the original.
  8. I don't agree with anything in this post. But we can agree to disagree. The same people trying to predict what will happen in the playoffs were predicting Panarin being a 70 to 80 point player and the team being a bubble team this season. Sports can be unpredictable. That's why they play the games. And that's why we watch them.
  9. And this is where you're operating from a false premise. The roster is the same. The team is different.
  10. Yea. The "one cup in 84 years" is such an irrelevant narrative. Firstly no one here has had to live through the 84 years, except maybe @Sod16 and @Ozzy, and secondly unless it's been the same owner, GM, coach, players for all 84 years... Who fucking cares what happened in 1961, 1981, 2011, or 2021?
