What did they not accomplish that a new coach will bring them?

Yeah @Zuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuc I feel for you. It's not even Poch's fault. The entire team is quintessentially what money can buy with no sense of strategy or team cohesion whatsoever. You have some great pieces there. Cole Palmer has been phenomenal (and is my FPL captain some weeks), Mudryk is actually starting to show some promise, you have some good young defenders. But it truly is not a team. Just look at when Palmer took the penalty over the weekend. Boehly is dreadful and needs to just be given Football Manager and tell him it's real.

Laf tied for 14th in the NHL with 26 even strength goals. Tied for 36th with 51 even strength points. 2nd on the rangers for EVG and 3rd for EVP. Not a bad season, kid.

Saw some interesting stats from March 8th (Trouba’s injury) onwards. Trouba xGF% 57.6% PDO 88.3 Zac Jones xGF% 48.3% PDO 105.2 The poster also makes a good point that Trouba’s awful defending can’t entirely be responsible for a PDO 17 points lower and an .840 sv% from his goalies. Prior to injury, Trouba’s PDO was 99.5. Point is, the coaching staff likely sees the analytics regressing back to the mean in the future. They aren’t going to bench him. Even if the eye test stinks.

This isn't basketball where one player drives an entire team. Kaapo Kakko and Brodzinski are not the same as Panarin and Fox. You can put lipstick on a pig but it's still a pig.

I think that's more to do with the rest of PP2 than it is a true indicator of Lafreniere's ability on the PP. When he filled in on PP1, he looked like he belonged.
