  1. Looks like Motte will be ready to play tonight. So we can see how the 4th line does with him.
  2. Agree but that ends too quickly IMO. The refs break it up and nobody gets very hurt. Wilson deserves more than that. I'd like to see Reaves, Tinordi, etc check Wilson really hard into the boards all game long. The refs haven't been calling boarding very much and it is about time for the Caps to receive some payback for their dirty play. After that, I'd like to see no fights and just good hockey....fast skating; great passing; shooting; teamwork and winnning.
  3. Exactly! How much scoring did our 3rd and 4th lines do last year?? I can't count that low! Bringing in Reaves was not for scoring but for muscle, intimidation; protection for our skilled players; and leadership. It was Gallant who lobbied to bring in Reaves this year. If you like Gallant and trust him as coach and his hockey acumen, then you should applaud our getting Reaves.
  4. Bringing in some bigger, tougher guys wasn't done to hinder the young players development, but actually to protect them. And for Dolan to protect his $13 million/year investment in Panarin. And other Rangers as well who aren't that big like Fox, etc. The Rangers have developed a skill team already. They needed some muscle to balance it out. Yeah, Dolan is known for having a short fuse but he hadn't messed with the Rangers like he used to do with the Knicks. That is, until the Tom Wilson incident and his open letter to the NHL. I feel as owner of the Rangers, it was appropriate for him to do so.
  5. Gallant likes Reeves and Reeves played well for Gallant at Vegas. That means a lot whether anyone else thinks so. Let's see what the extension price is. It may only be $1 million which wouldn't be too bad.
  6. That's the price most people thought he would get. Too expensive for the Rangers over the next few years as they need cap to sign their other young players. I do wish Buch well, except when he plays against the Rangers. :-)
  7. I read but haven't posted.....been a hockey fan since the early 1960's. The NHL just got set back 20 years. Hockey is a great game and I have loved the modern game - the skating, passing, shooting, the speed. People come to watch the skilled players not the goons. Now every team is going to be hiring goons - we're back to the 60's and 70's. Tom Wilson won; not just by fighting but by having everyone else fight. The Rangers had to come out fighting because the NHL front office didn't hand out justice to stop the fighting. I applaud the Rangers for trying even though they were outmatched in size and fighting ability. Now the NHL has to fire George Parras. Gary Bettman, what in the world were you thinking? Did you go brain dead to allow Tom Wilson to get away with a token fine?
  8. Last 2 games are against the Bruins. That's 4 points if they sweep and 4 points is the difference right now. They have to stay at least even and then win those 2 games. I'm picking the Rangers to make the playoffs. Can't pick against my team.

    Hello MSG,

    :welcome:

On behalf of BlueshirtsBrotherhood, welcome to the forum! We're glad to have you. Whether you lived to see Bobby Orr play, or you were born yesterday, everyone is given an opportunity to have and find a voice here. You can dive right in at any point, but if you're still a little unsure of where to start, let us help you out. Here are just a few things that you may want to check out before you start posting:

    1.
    The
can be accessed from the top of any of our forum sections or via the FAQ's link in the navigation bar above you. It's a bit lengthy, but be sure to give it a read when you get the chance. It'll help you avoid any early disciplinary issues and make your life, as well as our Staffs that much easier.

    2.
To avoid clutter, rather than start a brand new thread, we ask that new users introduce themselves in the
stuck at the top of the Bar Room section of the forum with as much information as you feel comfortable with.

    3.
Every new user is given a default avatar (the image below your handle to the left), but custom avatars are one of the easiest and quickest ways to carve out your own personality. It doesn't have to be Rangers related either. It just has to fit the forum rules (no nudity, no gore, etc). You can choose from existing Avatars or upload or link to your own by clicking through
    Settings
(top right corner of the site)
    > Edit Avatar
. The maximum size of your custom avatar is 125 by 125 pixels or 40.0 KB (whichever is smaller).

    4.
We have a moderating Staff that act globally, but there are go-to Staff members for specific sub-forums/sections of BSBH. Check out the
page for a better breakdown of who the active Staff members are, and whether any of them are specifically assigned to a few of our more active sub-forums/sections.

Again, glad to have you on board! Happy posting, and welcome to the Brotherhood (sisters welcome too)!
