  1. After 2023/2024 season, its a NTC, I suspect a modified NTC, so he can be traded, that makes the term much more bearable
  2. So my question is how many goals are scored because he is screening the goal tender? If he is a 25- 30 goal a year guy and you can add 5-10 a year from him screening, is that worth 6-7 mil a year? 7.5? In today's NHL, I think it is. Is it the right move for us? Probably not, we don't have the cap space and he will likely want years beyond his prime.
  3. I have a some issues with Quinn. -If we are supposed to be in a rebuild and developing the kids, then win or loose give the kids minutes and let them play. -Chytil has 8 points in 6 games in Hartford, If you believe he is your future, bring him up and let him get 2nd line center minutes. -The argument for sending Kratsov down was to give him more minutes, but he is not even playing on a top 6 line in Hartford, not surrounded by talent and not getting minutes so what was the point? I suspect he will go back to the KHL at this point and I don't blame him. -Kakko gets no look on the top line despite how he clicked there in preseason. -Staal on the top d-pairing, are you kidding me? -Line shuffling, the rate at which Quinn shuffles lines, I don't think they will ever be able to build chemistry. Last night I saw a ton of off the mark passes, is that a product of players not used to their line mates? maybe. -There does not appear to be any defensive system. We have some talent on D, we should not be as bad as we are -He can't seem to be able to get them to play a 60 minute game I started out really liking his approach with the players, but lately I dislike his handling of the team, I just don't get it. I am not on the fire him bandwagon yet, but I think its time that Gorton and or JD sit him down and say "Listen, you are supposed to be developing these kids, we dont have an expectation you make the playoffs this year, we want to see the kids play and improve"
  4. I think they also are considering the added advantage of not burning Kravtsov's rookie year contract. I think you will see him up exactly as many games as they can under that limit.
  5. Exactly, I just think we have more of a need for Krieder's skill set than Namestnikov's
  6. If we buy out Smith instead of sending him down we save a lot more, and we only get 970k in dead cap space
  7. We currently have 8,019,391 in projected cap space Lets say Trouba gets 7 Trading Namestnikov gets you 4 regardless of the return. Sending Beleskey down saves you 800k Buying out Smith gets you $3,379,167. essentially we would acquire $970,833 in dead cap space That gives you over 9 Mil to increase Krieder by about 2-2.5 and resign Buch with space left over for other moves The following year the dead cap space from Gerardi goes down by 2.5 mil The year after that Hank, and Shatty come off the books That gives us over 17 to play with for resigning whichever kids we decide to resign and that assume the same cap which is unlikely, it will probably go up I think with a little creativity, we can retain Krieder even with the Panarin contract and still be ok to resign our young kids in the future
  8. Hello RangerTheo,

    :welcome:

On behalf of BlueshirtsBrotherhood, welcome to the forum! We're glad to have you. Whether you lived to see Bobby Orr play, or you were born yesterday, everyone is given an opportunity to have and find a voice here. You can dive right in at any point, but if you're still a little unsure of where to start, let us help you out. Here are just a few things that you may want to check out before you start posting:

    1.
    The
can be accessed from the top of any of our forum sections or via the FAQ's link in the navigation bar above you. It's a bit lengthy, but be sure to give it a read when you get the chance. It'll help you avoid any early disciplinary issues and make your life, as well as our Staffs that much easier.

    2.
To avoid clutter, rather than start a brand new thread, we ask that new users introduce themselves in the
stuck at the top of the Bar Room section of the forum with as much information as you feel comfortable with.

    3.
Every new user is given a default avatar (the image below your handle to the left), but custom avatars are one of the easiest and quickest ways to carve out your own personality. It doesn't have to be Rangers related either. It just has to fit the forum rules (no nudity, no gore, etc). You can choose from existing Avatars or upload or link to your own by clicking through
    Settings
(top right corner of the site)
    > Edit Avatar
. The maximum size of your custom avatar is 125 by 125 pixels or 40.0 KB (whichever is smaller).

    4.
We have a moderating Staff that act globally, but there are go-to Staff members for specific sub-forums/sections of BSBH. Check out the
page for a better breakdown of who the active Staff members are, and whether any of them are specifically assigned to a few of our more active sub-forums/sections.

Again, glad to have you on board! Happy posting, and welcome to the Brotherhood (sisters welcome too)!
