NYR2711
This is such a great story, except the douchebag cameraman should have at least put the camera down and helped the poor lady get her dog free. They just stood there and watched her struggle to get the dog free.

They just stood there and watched her struggle to get the dog free. Great video. And agree, NYR. Had it been a perfectly healthy 22 year old, ya..maybe keep film rolling. But that lady had been through hell, and was struggling. Put down the damn camera and help.
I am Scags
Well that's the problem, they are there to sensationalize this great tragedy. Even the questions asked to her are ridiculous. What is she supposed to say and how is she supposed to react when she's standing there on top of what was her hourse, and her loving companion a dog is buried underneath it? We don't know what happens when the cameras stop, but thats one of those times that you shut the camera off and get on your hands and knees and help your fellow man. Exactly, and at one point she had to ask them to help her. How do you let a little old lady that just lost everything and thought that she had lost the last living thing that was with her, try to get that poor dog out by herself. And the other question I have is how long was the female reporter looking at the dog before she said something, its not like they moved some shit and found it, the poor dog was pinned there with its damn head sticking out. When this first happened, ABC News was talking to one of its reporters on a cell phone who lived in that town, but wasnt in the path of the tornado, and he went out, while on the phone and was standing at the school describing people going through the collapsed building looking for kids. Why the hell wouldnt you put the damn phone down and help search in that situation. Fuck the news broadcast and worry about trying to save someone elses life for a change. These media people are such scumbags.
Pete
Why does everyone look for the negative in everything? It's a good story, something to feel good about coming from tragedy.
