Mozilla Firefox: Private Browsing

After downloaded Mozilla firefox at my job because google chrome shockwave flash kept crashing, I noticed a thing on the top of mozilla that says private browsing.

Does anyone use Mozilla?

I noticed that no history is shown when using private browsing, so I was asking - can the company I work for have no idea what I am browsing?

Not that I have anything to hide, but I'd like to know I'm secure from them knowing that I am on facebook/twitter/this forum when I am at work even though I barely use it (okay, I use it but enough to get my work done).

Or can the company still look into what I am searching, etc.?

Yes, your company can see your browsing history. YOu are making active connections over an ISP, which means that even though you are not tracking through your computer, the websites your specific computer is visiting is still being logged somewhere else.

Correct. It's just not keeping a record of it locally.

"Honey, I swear I dont visit those nasty porn sites, look my history"

Genius.

Pretty much, and most girls aren't computer-savvy enough to know what they're looking at. They just see a clean history, with no downloads, etc.

There are entire sites out there dedicated to teaching guys how to properly hide a digital porn collection.

Is it that difficult? Wonder if they're making money off them.

Depends on how smart your significant other is. When you download files with titles full of buzzwords, all she has to do is do a quick search for "tits" and you're caught red-handed. That's usually mistake number one. The second is leaving it in the downloads folder, or leaving it on that computer, period.

We have separate accounts on the computer.

Same. I also don't care if she's looking at porn. It's natural human behavior. I'm the idiot if I think she's never going to find another human being attractive or fantasize about someone else from time-to-time.

Tell Kristen to get all the porn viewing in now. By year 3, she'll be folding laundry as you're trying to hit it from behind.

Exactly. That's why I go to strip joints on bachelor parties. :rofl:z
