Joe Girardi will not be back next season as manager of the New York Yankees, sources told David Kaplan of ESPN 1000 in Chicago on Thursday.

I'm a Mets fan and that was a dumb move by the Yankees. He takes his team to the 7th game of the ALCS against the 2nd best team in the AL and beats the Indians the best team in the AL.

Noted but it was time for change. Look what happened with the Mets and Collins. Took them to the World Series and was still retained even though there were clearly multiple issues there.

Iím not saying Giradi is Collins but thereís more going on there than we know as fans.

He was manager for 10 years and did a fine job. Iím okay with going on a different direction with a young roster.

Yes that is true as we never really know what happens in the background. I'm thinking Joe goes back to the National League and signs with the Nats.
