Sharks (with frickin' laser beams on their heads) in 7.

Faiz

Clifford fucks up a game tying shot with a minute in a half left to tie the game. Hit the heel of his stick, Sharks up 4-3.

EDIT: Sharks win game 1, 4-3.
Last minute of play was crazy, Kings were putting on the pressure and the Sharks were throwing their bodies anywhere and everywhere to stop the puck.

Travis Bickle

Definitely a wild end to the game. Good outcome though thankfully.

The final minute of play was insane! This is going to be an intense and fun series. It deserves to go 7...

didn't watch. super happy the sharks took game 1. i'd love to see them advance past the kings.

I'm sick of LAK and would love to see them get knocked out here but I still see them taking this series in 6. SJS certainly brought it last night though...nice to see the fight in them. But they've got the playoff choke artist title for a reason and it's only been one game so let's see how they do once the Kings fight back.

Sharks with a PPG, go up 2-0 in the second. Good passing play, Quick made the first save but goal off the rebound.

Huge PP for the Kings, chance to cut the lead to one going into the third.

Sharks win 2-1. Sharks up 2-0 in the series.

Faiz
04-17-2016, 01:32 AM
Huge for the Sharks, sweeping the away openers and go back home up 2. Sharks weren't a really good home team in the regular season (18-20-3, compared to 28-10-3 away), but playoffs is a different game and a huge confidence boost will definitely help as well.

This may be just a bad memory on my part, but didn't the Sharks do this to the Kings a few years ago? Win the first 2 on the road and then lose the series in 7?

I'm almost positive one of the years the Kings won the cup the Sharks won the first three and then lost 4 in a row. I don't remember if it was the year the Kings beat us or if it was their first Cup run.

Yep, that was 2014 - when they beat the Rangers.

I'm pretty sure the Sharks had home ice in that series. I could be wrong.

Kings losing definitely helps the cause, but this series is so entertaining. Great playoff hockey throughout each game.

What a great game. Sharks PP is unreal. The movement, the one timers, everything about it. They all handle the puck so well. So many good playmakers on one line. Can't believe they didn't score.

Like I said during Game 3 I think?.. The Sharks PP is UNREAL! They shoot about non stop, they retrieve all of their pucks, and are just constantly barraging the opposing goalie. 3/4 in a HUGE game, that's such a confidence booster when you can roll out a PP you know has a chance to score. Must be nice.

both down 3-1 and facing elimination in their next game.
i didn't look back to previous years, but i'm curious to know when the last time the hawks faced elimination was.
as much as i love being a new chicagoan, and as much as i love the blackhawks, i'd really like to see some different teams out west.

just think, the potential second round matchups out west are...

dallas/st. louis.
nashville/sjs

i love that LAK and CHI aren't in there.

Yes. One time was rallying behind MSL of course. Without that motivation they wouldn't have made that comeback IMO.

Unless the Sharks PP starts sucking all of a sudden, I don't see any team out West stopping them. Maybe the Blues, but I don't see anyone else being able to match them at this point. They are playing great hockey right now.

SJS has been the class of the West so far. I would love to see this series go 7 though cause it's been so damn good but I think SJS will end it quickly. Surely they won't repeat previous years mistakes...

Chicago lost a game 7 to the Kings 2 years ago, and won a game 7 last year in the wcf.

Yeah LAK was on a fucking roll that post season ever since they came back from 0-3 against SJS. We would've had a way better chance against CHI. But then again we could've had our shot against CHI last year if only we'd taken care of fucking business in Game 7 at MSG. Painful memories :(
