Won't happen. If and when he retires, recapture comes into effect. Hence this entire thing, including him working for the Flyers, being one giant special pleading to allow them to circumvent the cap.

Glass is so useless. Show Simmonds the fucking ice when he's pulling that shit.

I really wish we had a real hockey player in his spot. I'd much prefer even Ryan Malone, who is an actual hockey player.

If we're going to carry a guy who is a black hole offensively, he needs to a least make an impact in some way. Glass can't even keep up with the play enough to hit on a regular basis. He makes maybe one big hit per game. Not enough. He holds back what could be a very good fourth line with Fast and Moore. He isn't even good enough to keep a simple cycle going most of the time! So if he isn't going to take guys like Simmonds to the box for 5 minutes, then he has zero value to this team. A fourth line with Tanner Glass isn't going to help us win playoff games. I hope AV knows this.

Philadelphia Flyers general manager Ron Hextall could be heard admonishing his team following another lackluster effort Wednesday, this one against the New York Rangers.

:tweet: @frank_seravalli: Ron Hextall can be heard screaming from changing room. "That's f---ing embarrassing! Jesus f---ing Christ!" and slammed door.

:tweet: @tpanotchCSN: Hextall teed off on team after game: "Are you [bleeping] kidding me!." He and Berube very upset w/lack of pushback, emotion, competitiveness

Hextall refused to comment on the outburst.

I think everybody wanted the puck tonight. Everybody wanted to be part of the solution and it reflected on the way we played. It's tiring when you have to chase the puck but tonight was one of those nights where everyone really wanted to make a play and wanted to have an impact on the game.

Outside of the idiotic penalty at the end of the game, Zucc was good.

Love how we crash the net, but for Christ sakes, please give yourselves a bit of room to operate. They get too low on the goaltender and rebounds bounce right past them.

Mason looking like the second coming of Glen Hall.

Cam was outstanding. Excellent rebound control. Very aggressive in challenging shooters. Hopefully, getting back to last season form.
It really is a big deal for a team when a goalie makes all of the stops early. Letting a 50/50 goal in early can really deflate a team.

For a rivalry game, it surely was a vanilla affair. Very odd to see between these 2 teams.

Aside from the recent addition of Del Z, I don't remember exactly what transpired with Philly's roster over the offseason, especially who they lost on defense…but they seemed even more porous, and not as scrappy as remembered. Names like Schultz, Bellemarre, Laughton, Vandevelde just not the ire-inspiring ingredients of past contests?

By no means have we looked like world beaters this season, but I think early on that last night was the worst team we've played. Sorry. That Flyers team last night was hot garbage. If not for Mason and some posts we win that game by a touchdown. Pathetic performance.

They just don't impress me. I'm sure they're gonna bring their A+ effort next week when we play them. But those are points we shouldn't lose. They suck.

Article: (Mikey37) "Del Zotto Made A Mistake Leaving The Rangers"

If Michael Del Zotto wasn't addicted to the nightlife, strippers, and wearing 2 jackets, he'd still be in NY playing for the Rangers. He sucked so much that he was traded to Nashville, and then signed an off season deal with the rival Flyers. He dodged a bullet when crazy coach John Tortorella was fired, and had an easier go of it with a calmer AV, but he failed to make a good impression on him as well inevitably forcing his way out of NY. The Flyers lost 2-0 to the Rangers last night. After last night's result, I'm sure he made a mistake by acting like a doucher in NY, and wishes he was still here.
