I didn't realize their defense was that bad...If Hank plays well and our defense plays like last game we should win, but they have some weapons on this team for sure.

Varlamov has played 4 games in November... and given up 16 goals with a .890 save percentage. In his last game, he gave up 6 goals to the Islanders. In his previous game, he gave up 5 goals to the Canucks.

Timing is everything, and this seems to be good timing to catch Colorado.

Never signed. He completed all four years of college and signed as a free agent with the Flyers.

Odd. Thry were very high on him snd then they didn't sign him snd nothing much was ever made of it. He has turned into a serviceable player. Weird how many ex Rangers are out there and never got a shot here.

Agreed. Seems to be in the flow of things and is not forcing things that arent there along with making SMART hockey decisions with the puck and away from it.

zucc's passes are amazing

Yep, he's a little freaking wizard

He's got more confidence than before, yet, and I think he's more comfortable moving the puck immediately — and mentally the rest of the top 9 —*and even some of the D — seem in a much more confident place, too, including on the PP, when it comes working with the quicker, more creative passes.

Thought Hank was off last night.
MacKinnon goal was weak. Tanguay's goal in regulation, while mostly on Staal, should be stopped. Problem with Hank, at times, is he chooses to sit on the goal line. If he comes to the top of the paint on Tanguay's goal, it hits him.
Not trying to beat the guy up because he has made some good saves but I'm not seeing him play like a top goalie on a consistent basis.
I'm sure he will get it together. Probably around the time McDonagh gets back and gets it together!

Future

Agreed that Hank let in a softie on the Mackinnon goal, but this thing would have been over in the first period if he hadn't played well.
