NEW YORK. They were 3-0 before the final period and was against a real fiasco.
Then Henrik Lundqvist took the floor in the locker room.
Since the New York Rangers went out and stood with one of the decade's wildest twists and beat Minnesota 5-4.
- It was both among the worst and the best I have ever experienced, says "King Henrik" Sportbladet.

Henrik Lundqvist stood up and talked about what he thought of their teammates bet ...
- Talked and talked ... it is not the right description. It was very large letters, he says when we meet him afterwards.
Exactly what the Swedish goalkeeper star told is unknown - "it stays in this room," as he points out - but quite apart from giving it effect.

Keep in mind the source is translated, so it's possible something got lost in translation, but it sounds like Henrik may have screamed at the team to play better ("very large letters" is the oddball here and translates roughly to something like "loudly questioned their character" though I'd love a Swede or someone with slightly better knowledge to affirm the idiom)

the true captain of this team IMO. Nothing against McD but this team goes as Hank goes.

I don't think anyone denies it. Hank is the heart of this club with or without a C.

NHLN mentioned that he said something about the fans deserving better.

Good for Hank. They'll work it out. The real leaders will take the lead. probably waiting for McD to take it but it's just a letter. He is not ready.
This is all good.

They covered it on the broadcast. If I recall correctly, it was Gianonne or Trautwig who mentioned it in the post-game. NHLNetwork also covered it.

Hank is definitely the face of the franchise.

He's been here for 10 years. Any player on any team in any sport with that kind of tenure should be a leader. You don't need a letter sewn on your jersey to take control of the room, or kick a little ass when necessary.

This.

He's the most intense dude on the team. I wouldn't expect anything less.

nothing wrong with this though it loses effect if the players don't take it to heart.

Hank's been getting hung out to dry a bit this season. A 2-0, I mean c'mon how often do you see that.

Glad to see the boys responded.

Thing is, I really thought Hank could have made the save on that 2-0. I was disappointed he didn't.

You tell me 2 on 0, I tell you the goalie is dead. I actually didn't see it, but I can't hang it on the tendy.

No no, don't get me wrong, I wasn't hanging it on him at all. I just really believed he could make the save.

the worst part of that 2-0 is that it was while we were on the pp!
