Interesting enough, Yogan is from Florida. They're sending him "home", in a sense.

I'm assuming we're just going to waive Joey Crabb or send him to Hartford.

Not that I care - Kampfer should make Florida's top 6 and Yogan was just not making the progress needed. Duke's a Ranger and that's really the bottom line here.

I doubt that. They just signed Shane O'Brien and immediately waived him for the purposes of AHL assignment. I'd imagine Kampfer will join him, since he's already cleared waivers.

Was Crabb on their NHL roster, or did he already clear waivers is the question? If the latter, the Rangers can assign him to HFD at any point.

Aside from Filip Kuba, the Panthers have a surprisingly solid D, actually. Color me shocked.

@Phil - Crabb was on the Rampage roster. He should be Hartford ready.

There ya go. Means he heads right to Hartford.

He's actually got decent AHL numbers, too.

Good hard nosed type player also.
Can play up and down the depth chart on any line down there, and will make room for linemates.
Think Dorsett, etc.

Still remember how excited I was when the Rangers drafted him WAY back.

Yup. I remember him with Washington. They even had him up on Ovie's line for numerous games, because of how versatile his game was.

He was on a stacked youth hockey team that kept me from Nationals a few times :)

It's a shame Yogan never developed with his big frame (6-3, 200). He scored 41 goals in his final year of Juniors but hasn't been able to make the scoring transition at the American league level. Point/game player in the ECHL. Glad Duke's now a Ranger

Goof for Hartford and good for Duclair. I'm excited to see what number he and the other Rangers get that are staying.

Anybody's guess with Duclair, he wore 10 in juniors but Miller's got that so who knows.

I actually this Hayes kind of looks like a 59 lol...He wore 12 in college.

I'd imagine he stays with 63 until he "proves" himself, at which point he can potentially switch over to a more ideal number.

I know I'm in the minority on this but I love high numbers.. Hope he keeps it.

Yes and no. I agree and disagree, if thats possible, haha.

63 is kind of like a snipers number, in a weird way. I can see him sticking with that. I see Hayes switching to maybe 19 if he makes the team.

Duclair wore 10 in Junior, so my guess is he likes lower numbers. I'm a fan of higher numbers, especially on scorers. He should go with 93 IMO. :)

I say stick with the lucky number. You came here and were assigned to it, the Rangers fans have been watching you wear it at this level and it's treated you well. Do not anger the hockey Gods and keep going!

I know I deserve to be beaten to a pulp for this next question, but I'm bored and am going for it anyway.

I am 10000% pulling for Duclair I've been calling for him to make the team from his first day on the ice and hope he turns into a superstar this year. BUT, IF he fails and they send him back to juniors - who takes his spot? Am I overthinking the room here or will it be an easy decision?

Depends on a few things, as to who is performing well enough for top 3 line minutes.
Other big factor is health of Stepan. There is a good chance had Stepan been healthy, there would be no room for Duclair.

Stepan, Kredier, Nash, MSL, Brassard, Zucc, Hagelin are pretty much guaranteed 7 of the top 9 spots.
5 of those being wingers. So Duclair would have to out perform every other player for a winger spot, including Miller who could shift if need be.
